We are a small village school with 4 classes. We have a very strong community ethos and pupils enjoy being involved with the wider community through events such as our harvest tea party for residents, where children serve refreshments to our guests, singing carols to residents at the church Christmas lunch and entertaining family, friends and locals at our annual June Rose Day celebrations.
We believe that all children should enjoy learning and that they should achieve the best that they possibly can from their own starting points. We expect and encourage high standards of work and behaviour and we work hard to develop positive relationships and to ensure pupils are prepared well for their future lives in modern Britain.
Enrichment activities are key to a broad and positive school experience for children and here at Overstone, we provide a wide range of opportunities. We take part in regular sporting events, dance competitions, charity events and musical activities to name a few. High levels of self-esteem and confidence are aspired to for all our pupils.
We are currently working with Northamptonshire County Council regarding plans to expand our school to a one form entry primary school. This is a very exciting prospect for us; we will remain small and our strong community ethos will not change but our increase in size will mean that we will have the capacity to offer an even greater range of exciting opportunities to our pupils.
We would love to show you around our school. If you would like to visit, please ring the school office to make an appointment.
